To further Rhode Island's goal of increasing jobs and job readiness in the state, the GPL supported the Rhode Island Department of Education in reforming their adult education services to create a more coordinated provision of trainings and supplemental supports to improve employment outcomes. This work included:
-
Conducting a comprehensive analysis of demand and the historical performance of various adult education services,
-
Connecting with stakeholders to understand challenges and desired changes in the existing system, and
-
Development of an RFI that explored opportunities to strengthen contextualized instruction models that integrate workforce preparation and training with adult education.
