Teresa Wisner

Government Innovation Fellow - Michigan


Teresa Wisner was Government Innovation Fellow with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. She worked with the Children’s Services Agency to design and test strategies that enable more children in out-of-home care to live with their relatives rather than in foster homes or residential settings. Prior to joining the GPL, Teresa worked in research at the University of Chicago Urban Labs. There, she designed and managed evaluations of mental health programs that serve vulnerable individuals and those involved in the criminal justice system in the city of Chicago. Previously, she worked in legislative advocacy on issues affecting individuals living in poverty in Illinois. She recently graduated with a Master of Public Policy from the University of Michigan, where she focused on social policy. Teresa holds a BA in sociology from Wellesley College.
