Sherraine Ashley

Sherraine is a Government Innovation Fellow on the Children and Families team at the Government Performance Lab, supporting jurisdictions to strengthen their kinship caregiver programing. Sherraine’s background includes a variety of direct service and advocacy positions supporting children and families. She works as a birth and postpartum doula, providing education and advocacy for families through the perinatal period. Prior to joining the GPL she worked as an elementary school social worker, and a case planner in NYC’s foster care system. 

Sherraine holds a Masters in Social Work from Hunter College and a BA in Comparative Human Development from the University of Chicago.
