Rebecca Graffy is a Project Leader working with municipal governments to improve procurement and contracting systems, and is currently working with the City of Long Beach, CA. Prior to joining the GPL, Rebecca spent nine years with the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), a non-profit. Most recently, she managed initiatives to make high quality medicines, diagnostics, and prophylactics available in the developing world at affordable prices. This included negotiation of three agreements that are collectively projected to save $250 million for public sector buyers. While at CHAI, Rebecca also spent five years in South Africa leading a team embedded within the National Department of Health’s malaria elimination program. This team provided technical assistance to help the government upgrade its disease surveillance system, use data-driven approaches to target interventions, and build program management capacity. Rebecca holds a BA in Philosophy from Tufts University.
