Peter Willenborg

Government Innovation Fellow


Peter Willenborg is a Fellow on the Government Performance Lab’s Children & Families team. He is working with the Governor’s Office in Maryland to strengthen public benefits uptake among pregnant and newly parenting families, part of a series of projects with the goal of ending child poverty in the state.

Previously, Peter worked at the Urban Institute, where he supported child policy research projects. He has also served as a Dukakis Fellow in the Illinois Governor’s Office, contributing to a range of initiatives related to health and human services delivery. Peter holds a Master in Public Policy degree from the Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor’s degree in economics and geography from Macalester College. Outside of work, he enjoys playing tennis and soccer, cooking, and seeing movies at the theater.
