
Nya Anthony
Research and Writing Fellow
Nya Anthony is a Research and Writing Fellow at the Government Performance Lab, where she supports research design on new strategies for police accountability and translates the GPL’s innovative procurement models into tools for practitioners. Previously, Nya worked as an Economic Development Research Analyst at Good Jobs First, a national nonprofit watchdog organization based in D.C., where her research promoted accountability and transparency in the economic development incentives process. During graduate school, Nya worked as a research intern at the National League of Cities and supported research at Indiana University surveying the professional attitudes and demographics of U.S. school-based law enforcement officers.
Nya holds a Dual-Master of Public Affairs and Arts in African American and African Diaspora Studies from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She resides in Indianapolis, IN, where she frequents local book clubs and regularly uses the city’s free bike share program.
