Nada Shalash
Fellow
Nada Shalash is a Research and Writing Fellow at the Government Performance Lab. She primarily supports the Children and Families team by developing publications, tools, and resources that disseminate insights from their project work with governments across the country.
Prior to joining the GPL, Nada worked across public policy research, data analysis, and policy communication roles. She served as a Research Fellow at the Wiener Center for Social Policy, where she collaborated with faculty on interdisciplinary projects focusing on racial discrimination in the U.S. criminal legal system. She also worked as a Data Analyst at Bloomberg, specializing in the healthcare sector. In addition, she supported climate resilience initiatives at USAID and contributed to World Bank analysis and written materials on leveraging AI to improve social assistance programs.
Nada holds a Master in Public Affairs from Princeton’s School of Public and International Affairs, where she concentrated in international development and earned a certificate in science, technology, and environmental policy. She also holds a B.A. in Economics from Boston University with minors in computer science and public policy analysis. She lives in New Jersey and enjoys working out and exploring various arts and crafts.
