Matt Tyler was a Government Innovation Fellow in Connecticut and worked with the Department of Children and Families to develop improved referral and provider engagement systems that better met families’ needs. Before joining the GPL, Matt worked for 10 years as a management consultant, as an economist on Australia’s foreign aid program, and as a policy adviser to the Australian Labor Party. Most recently, at Third Sector Capital Partners, he was responsible for the economic models and transaction structuring of two Social Impact Bonds in Salt Lake County that have since launched, one addressing homelessness and the other recidivism. He holds an MPP from Harvard Kennedy School, summa cum laude Bachelor in Economics (Hons) from Monash University, and B.A (Psychology)/B.Comm (Finance) from the University of Melbourne.
