Lynda Blancato
Director of Child & Family Wellbeing Initiatives
Lynda Blancato is a Director of Child & Family Wellbeing Initiatives at the Government Performance Lab, where she leads a team supporting state and local governments to design and implement approaches to strengthen social service delivery and improve outcomes for children and families. Lynda currently leads GPL’s work focused on strengthening kinship care and increasing access to high-quality youth mental health services in addition to managing a team supporting Michigan’s Department of Health and Human Services to strengthen family resiliency and healthy child development upstream of crisis. This work draws on GPL’s expertise in data-driven performance management, referral pathway and service array design, and results-driven procurement and contracting processes to improve how children and families are able to access supports that meet their needs, such as mental health services, family wellbeing programs, or kinship navigator supports. Lynda joined the GPL in 2018 with a background in K-12 education. She holds an MBA from Yale School of Management and a BA in History from Yale University and lives in Raleigh, NC.
