Laura Merryfield is a Project Leader on the Procurement team. Prior to their work at the Government Performance Lab, Laura led a partnership of local government and community stakeholders to enhance support for small businesses and entrepreneurs of color in Long Beach, CA. Laura began their career as a community organizer, leading campaigns centering health equity, education justice, immigrant rights, and civic engagement, and believes firmly in the importance of constituent voice in government. Laura holds a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
