
Kevyanna Rawls
Government Innovation Fellow
Kevyanna Rawls was a Government Innovation Fellow with the Procurement team. She supported states and counties to get better results from service contracts, such as federally-funded job training programs. In this capacity, Kevyanna designed and implemented workshops to build government staff’s skills using data to design, lead, and iterate on critical social service contracts.
Prior to joining the GPL, Kevyanna served as Project Manager at Latino Memphis, where she implemented state and philanthropic grants to increase access to COVID-19 resources amongst immigrant communities throughout the midsouth region, collaborating with government and key community stakeholders. Similarly, through her work as the Director of Grants and Senior Policy Analyst with the African American Mayors Association, she supported mayors and their staff in the development and implementation of economic mobility plans to increase generational wealth among their constituents. Kevyanna recently earned a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University. There she was an inaugural Tech and Public Policy Fellow, where she learned and worked alongside leading experts in the growing tech policy sphere. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentration in African American Literature and in African American Studies from the University of Memphis. In her free time, Kevyanna enjoys trying new baking recipes and exploring new hobbies!
