Gabi Remz is the Government Performance Lab’s Assistant Director of Research and Writing. In the role, he works closely with GPL staff across the country to spread and elevate key insights, evidence, and lessons learned from on-the-ground projects to state and local government leaders. Previously, Gabi managed Results for America’s Economic Mobility Catalog, a public resource supporting local government leaders in identifying evidence-based strategies to improve upward mobility in their communities. Prior to that, he was a writer at Success Academy Charter Schools in New York City, where he focused on education reform at the local and state levels. He also served as the Special Assistant to the Executive Chairman at POLITICO in Washington, D.C., where he evaluated new markets for expansion. Gabi received his Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Chicago and his undergraduate degree in journalism and political science from Northwestern University.
