Emma Cregg is a Project Leader at the Government Performance Lab and manages the Children and Family Wellbeing Accelerator project portfolio. She is based in Charleston, South Carolina, and prior to joining the GPL, held government positions at the city, county, and state levels. These past experiences include work in municipal budget and performance management, criminal justice system reform, and most recently- sourcing, building, and maintaining the state’s data dashboards used to track Covid-19 health metrics, monitor health disparities amongst South Carolina communities, and implement the state’s Covid-19 vaccine rollout plan.

Emma holds a Master of Public Administration from the College of Charleston with an emphasis in Urban and Regional Planning and BAs in Spanish and Interdisciplinary Studies from Lee University. Following graduate school, Emma lived in Paris, France and interned with UNESCO’s Intercultural Dialogue Section while teaching at the Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (UVSQ) and completing a Research Fellowship focused on addressing challenges faced by local host cities when implementing national refugee policy. She is an avid traveler and still returns to Paris often, maintaining the reputation of re-routing entire trip itineraries to catch one more Eiffel Tower sparkle.
