Elena Hoffnagle

Elena Hoffnagle was the Director of Procurement Scaling & Innovation at the Government Performance Lab, where she led projects to scale innovative procurement practices across state and local governments. In her six-plus years at the GPL, Elena helped many local governments to drive process efficiency and improve outcomes of high-priority contracts. Prior to joining the GPL, Elena spent four years at the National League of Cities providing technical assistance to city governments across the U.S. In that role, she managed Let’s Move! Cities, Towns and Counties, a key part of former First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! initiative to reduce childhood obesity. 

Elena earned a BA in Political Science with Distinction from Yale University, and a Master’s in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School. In her free time, Elena loves any outdoor activity, especially backpacking, and has trekked over 1200 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail.
