Camila de la Vega

Government Innovation Fellow
MH

Camila de la Vega is a fellow working with the Housing and Homelessness team to understand the recent increase in Latinx Homelessness, identify opportunities to leverage homeless support services to meet the needs of this population, and build a framework to move similar racial equity issues towards solutions implementation. During her first year as a Government Innovation Fellow in Michigan, Camila supported the Department of Health and Human Services in establishing a Family Resource Center Network as part of their effort to strengthen community-based supports for families and provide a more robust set of primary prevention services. Her work focused on building the infrastructure for the network to drive impact and scale by bringing providers together in collaborative meetings to define network goals, identify key metrics that will be collected, and share best practices.

Prior to joining the GPL, Camila worked as the education manager in a nonprofit in Central America. She designed, piloted, and scaled community-based education programs for communities in isolated, coffee-growing regions. Camila holds a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and a BA in Political Science from Carleton College. She is an AmeriCorps alumna.
