Brian Gosselin

Brian Gosselin worked as a Government Innovation Fellow. Before joining the GPL, Brian spent eight years in public service working for the Governor in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He led the statewide transition efforts, implementing the nation’s first digital gubernatorial transition for the Governor’s Office, eight cabinet secretaries, and over 40 executive branch agencies, on behalf of over six million Commonwealth residents. Prior to leading the transition, Brian served as Chief of Staff for the Executive Office for Administration and Finance overseeing seventeen agencies and serving as the primary point of contact with the Governor’s office on administrative issues and fiscal policies. He also played multiple roles on the budget and policy team managing a team of analysts to build the Governor’s annual budget recommendations and serving as the point of contact for school districts and municipalities for fiscal policy and funding formulas.

Prior to working in state government, Brian consulted for health and human service agencies throughout the United States resulting in state revenue generation, federal guideline education and business operation efficiencies. Brian also spent time as an intern for the U.S. Department of State in Warsaw, Poland, where he researched anti-corruption initiatives and created an interactive online map of American investments in Poland facilitating information sharing to generate international economic development and investment opportunities.

Brian holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Fairfield University. Brian is currently an active board member for the Committee for Public Counsel Services in Massachusetts.
