
Aloka Narayanan
Project Leader
Aloka Narayanan is a Project Leader with the Safety & Justice team at the GPL. She leads the Alternative 911 Emergency Response Implementation Cohort, which helps jurisdictions scale and sustain unarmed response initiatives. Previously, she was embedded with the Connecticut Department of Children and Families, where she implemented a service coordination model that connects child welfare-involved families with services more quickly that are better suited to their needs. Before working with the GPL, she built frameworks to assess the impact of early childhood and youth development programs on economic outcomes in the cities of Detroit and San Francisco. Aloka holds a BA in Applied Mathematics and a Minor in Global Poverty and Practice from UC Berkeley and a Master of Public Policy with a concentration in Social Policy and certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from the University of Michigan.
