Project Leader


Stephanie Wilcoxen is a Project Leader on the Government Performance Lab’s Children & Families team. Her work focuses on designing and testing solutions to drive meaningful impact for families. Currently, Stephanie manages projects centered on the goal of ending child poverty in Maryland.

Prior to joining the GPL, Stephanie held a variety of roles working with and within the government to build and use evidence. She served as a Senior Advisor at the Behavioral Insights Team, working with government partners to design solutions informed by human behavior, run mixed-methods and impact evaluations, and build their own in-house evaluation capabilities. She has also held roles at the New Jersey Office of Innovation and the federal Office of Evaluation Sciences.

Stephanie has a Masters in Public Administration from Syracuse University and graduated summa cum laude with degrees in English and Math from SUNY Geneseo. Based in Washington, DC, you can find her exploring the city, out on a hike, or reading with her two cats.
