Strategies for Improving Vendor Diversity in Government Contracting

vendor_image.pngThis policy brief describes strategies for increasing the share of government contracts with minority and women-owned businesses (MWBEs) based on the lessons learned from the GPL’s work with the City of Boston. The GPL helped Boston improve vendor diversity by streamlining procurement processes, expanding outreach and technical assistance for diverse vendors, and setting up a system to track progress on vendor diversity goals.
