Dan Edelman

Dan Edelman assisted Arkansas with its criminal justice reform efforts and worked on vendor diversity, bicycle share, and workforce development projects as part of Bloomberg Philanthropies' What Works Cities initiative. Before joining the GPL, Dan taught high school social studies and coached soccer in Jackson, MS through the Mississippi Teacher Corps and worked in fundraising and administration at a community-based anti-hunger organization in East Harlem. While earning an MPA from Princeton University, where he won the Somers Award for excellence in domestic policy, Dan interned in the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee and the New York City Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice. He also holds a BA from Amherst College in Sociology and Spanish and an MA from the University of Mississippi in Curriculum and Instruction.
